Michael Arnst

Michael Arnst came to Diamond and Associates in 2020 after a decade of professional experience in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors, managing nearly $10 million in place-based grantmaking portfolios in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City and Washington, DC. He also brings a dedicated commitment to developing strong and equitable neighborhoods for all residents to his work with the firm and its clients. Since joining the team, he has supported the completion of multiple competitive 9% LIHTC, Federal Home Loan Bank, and local funding applications as well as the closing affordable developments in Pittsburgh and York, PA.


Prior to joining Diamond & Associates, Michael was a 2019 Mayoral Fellow with the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development and served on multiple nonprofit boards, including Strong City Baltimore (previously Greater Homewood Community Corporation) and the Maryland Philanthropy Network. He holds a Master’s in Urban Planning (MUP) at McGill University in Montréal with a thesis on adaptive reuse of school buildings for housing and community use as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University.
