Vidhi Anderson joined Diamond & Associates (D&A) in May 2010. Vidhi brings to the development team strong analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of complicated real estate transactions, especially those combining federal, state and local funding sources. She is especially adept in HUD HOPE VI grants and the various ARRA grants. Seasoned in the planning and development of both market rate and public housing projects, Vidhi has a comprehensive understanding of the NJHMFA and PHFA Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs, the Federal Home Loan Bank’s Affordable Housing Program, HOME, DCED grants and others. Vidhi has managed projects from inception to construction completion in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Before joining D&A, Vidhi worked as a development officer at Pennrose Properties, one of the nation’s top ten affordable housing developers. While there Vidhi managed three HOPE VI projects with multiple phases of rental housing and home ownership opportunities, each with numerous federal, state and local resources. Vidhi managed the day to day activities that ranged from coordinating the design development with a team of architects, engineers and contractors, to working on the financial feasibility of the project with the client (housing authorities) and the equity investor. Also working with the attorneys and the HUD Program Manager to move towards the financial closing and ensuring timely completion of all activities under the grant agreement within the stipulated timeframe.
Before joining Pennrose, Vidhi worked as a Development Associate at CBRE, an international real estate consulting firm. Her clients varied from federal and state governments to private developers. Her scope of work included feasibility studies, identification of investment opportunities, consolidation of real estate portfolios, and disinvestment of commercial assets. In addition, while at the University of Pennsylvania, Vidhi contributed her research on American, European, and Asian real estate markets for an NAI Global Market Report.
Vidhi holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, where her concentration was Community and Economic Development. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, India.
